The Natron Hayat factory represents one of the leading producers in the wood industry and contributes to BiH’s prosperity and profitability. It is located in Maglaj and deals with the production of pulp paper, paper products and wood products.
In order to maintain the status of leader in the wood industry, it is necessary to strategically manage its resources and have established control over their consumption while preserving the quality of service and products as well as the environment.
The Natron Hayat factory is one of those that keeps up with time and gives importance to the quality of their service, rational consumption, efficiency of business processes and as such has recognised the importance of energy management systems and integrated them into their business.
MIBO Komunikacije, together with the Natron Hayat factory, successfully implemented the Power Monitoring Expert (PME) energy efficiency management system and the PO (Power Operation) system for advanced power plant management and thus improve the business of leaders in BiH’s wood industry.

CHALLENGE
The original idea of the Natron Hayat factory management was an analysis of existing business, identification of shortcomings in the business, elimination of identified defects and improvement of business processes through energy efficiency management and advanced guidance of power plants, without decreasing quality of customer services and products. Factory have faced with challenges of identification energy consumption within final product, monitoring consumption of tech-units in real time, work continuity – 24/7, increasing reliability LV network, reduction of diagnostic time and deviation of fault as well as report automation on utilities consumption. Primary business goal of Natron Hayat factory was identification of shortcomings in the business and recognition good opportunities for business advancement which brings profitability, improve quality of business to an enviable level and contributes to factory recognizability by effective resource utilization. Factory goal was to implement systems through which they would be able to take control over working processes, optimize consumption, achieve evident savings and actively participate in the environment preservation.
SOLUTION
Power Monitoring Expert (PME) represents leading platform used for grading energy efficiency on global level. It consists of three segments: Core software, communication infrastructure and measuring devices.
By implementing PME system, factory acquired abilities to determine energy consumption by organizational units, i.e., plants or to determine collective consumption in production processes in real time. All measurement results are updated in SQL database. Based on these information technologists can give corrective feedback in order to optimize production process, and economists as well as administration can plan costs more precisely. Power Operation (PO) is system that we use in order to secure process management in power plants. The application itself is case-by-case specific and is always tailor made for concrete system. Also, the choice of platform must be adjusted to technology requirements, reliability and safety requirements as well as size and projected growth of subjected system.
